SooperLooper Forum

I'm trying to run Sooperlooper on an intel mac, but it always fails to startup properly, giving a message saying:

No response from SooperLooper engine process
Please make sure the JACK server is running
etc.

I'm running Jack (version 0.101.3)

I have tried running the server from the command line but get this:

SooperLooper 1.0.8c
Copyright 2005 Jesse Chappell
cannot connect to jack
cannot connect to audio driver
cannot initialize sooperlooper

Anyone know what else I can try?

Fixed it
Sooperlooper needs a more recent version of jack, one that has jackmp.framework rather than jack.framework. Unfortunately I can't use the recent version of jack as long as I want to continue using freewheeling (another mac looper) but the audiounit version of sooperlooper works fine for me.
