MIDI bindings affecting all loops when i dont want them to?

Hi,
I am controlling the sooperlooper AU with an Ableton Launchpad from within Ableton. I am having no problem getting MIDI to SL, and i can use the 'learn' function fine so its obvious that SL is getting the correct MIDI note data no problem. However, when i send a MIDI message for the rate to go 1/2 or x2 to the first (Top) loop it seems to affect al the other loops also, even if they had already been given a different messages. This is only the case when sending MIDI to the top loop and only when sending information about the rate.
It does this when i have SL in an audio channel or a MIDI channel, and also does it with other controllers, so i dont think it is a Launchpad problem.
Any help would be much appreciated!
