We just finished our first show using Sooper Looper in Ableton 6. Unfortunately, we are experiencing fairly frequent crashing in Live when using songs with instances of SooperLooper AU plugin.

Is there any chance of making a true AU or VST plugin version of SL instead of the current external application implementation?

Can you give me any specifics about what you were doing or what your settings were when the crashes occur? I know that there are many people who don't experience such behavior in their Live sessions with SL.

The AU plugin itself is "real", its just that the GUI is actually a separate application that communicates with the plugin via OSC. In fact, because it does not run within Live it reduces chances of Live itself being taken down. So whatever issues you may be seeing probably aren't because of the GUI.

I've been having good results with the latest version of SL AU in Ableton Live.

No crashes at all so far on my Macbook OS 10.4.11 running Live 6.
