On multiple tracks can't record after the first is created.

Post by ragazzosemplice »

Hi there,

I'm using Live 8 and SL as Plugin on OSX.
Most of the times when I record the first track on my multiple set (see attached), then recording on the other tracks doesn't works.
This is what happen:

1. I record the first track.
2. I press record_exclusive_next and the second track starts flashing as it should be.
3. The loop end the cycle and the second track is not flashing anymore so it's time to play in the second track.
4. When I press record again the record button on the track should start flashing again until the end of cycle but this doesn't happen. The record button just turn off and it seems that nothing has passed, nothing has been recorded.
5. So all I have to do is to press undo to reset the track and repeat the process from the begin than it works but it's a mess!

Ideas???

Thanksssssss

So after you've done it once, and reset the loops, it works correctly?

There's no actually need to reset all the loops just the one is not working.
So I make the first one and this is ok.
From the second loop track when I record it happen as described in the first post. I record a second time and then it works so every time I do it twice for all the tracks after the first.

I really don'get it.

THANKS

Actually, I believe I just fixed this issue. If you are on a mac, try it out by grabbing the version at:
http://essej.net/sooperlooper/SooperLooper-1.6.16.dmg

Thank Zoe Keating for getting my off my ass and actually doing something to SL!

happy holidays everybody!
regret to report that, even with the newest version of sooperlooper, the "record-exclusive-next" and "record-exclusive-prev" commands do not work for me at all...nothing happens when i trigger them.
maybe what i'm trying to do isn't possible? basically i am trying to find a command that will mute the loop i'm currently in, switch to another loop and allow me to overdub over the previous material in that loop (the way that can be done with the "next loop" function in the edp)..."record solo" doesn't work for that...i was hoping the "record or overdub exclusive" would...
i'm running sooperlooper au in ableton on a mac, and using (or attempting to use!) the softstep...
thanks so much for any help!
