Boss ME50 SooperLooper

Post by endesse »

Is it possible to connect directly one guitar effect processor like the boss me50 to sooperlooper?
Do I need some kind of guitar to midi device? Or can I do it only from software?

The reason is that I would like to loop my guitar but also use the effects on the ME50.
For now I've connected the Guitar to the ME50 and the out of ME50 to the mac mic port and then the headset output to the amp! but nothing hapens... What am I missing?

Sorry for the newbie question and thans for the replys!

Are you using the stand-alone version or the AU?

You know you have to hit record for something to happen right?

I've tried hitting the record however, shouldn't you still be able to listen what you're playing even if it isn't on a loop yet?

I'm using the stand-alone version..

Thanks anyway

You need to connect everything using Jack.

On Linux use qjackctl, on OSX jackOSX I believe.

You can use the "main in mon" and other monitor levels to get dry pass-through audio out (to hear what you are playing while recording) or you can just route a by-pass in Jack.
