Re: UMI3 press/release commands
Hey Gertjan, have you tried changing the binding to NoteOn and then make another one exactly the same but for NoteOff?

Re: clicks and vanishing overdubs
You could paste it somewhere like: https://gist.github.com/ Jesse really wants to fix this issue before the 1.7.0 release. Which is why the release hasn't been made. I myself can't really help with this one without a lot of time spent trying to understand that 3500 line file (plugin.cc) that is the ...

I made some further adjustments so if you could confirm I haven't broken anything for you by doing that it would be a great help.

Re: Loop Sync with MIDI clock.
Without trying anything out, just thinking about it a little bit I don't think it would be possible with SL currently.

Re: Loading loops with audio problem
OK, I was able to reproduce this and have made a fix in git. Let me know how that works for you. Loading a lot of loops at once may result in a long loading time for the GUI now but it should get all the controls at least.
Thanks for the detailed report.

Does the "not connected" actually have any effect? What happens when you just press trig on a loop that says it's not connected?

Is this for sessions with more than 4 loops?
Could you try 1.6.18 as well as latest git and report on the difference?

Re: Clicks / Pops work around? Also other questions...
There are definitely a few weird things going on within SL. The basis for a lot of them is that there are state transitions that shouldn't be there, some that won't work and others that won't work quite as expected. I had started to try and record these a while back but it got very monotonous very q...

Re: sooper looper midi sequencing tracks (big feature reques
I have tried seq24 and as far as I can tell it is more for loop arrangement in advance rather than live-looping.
I think this would be a really nice feature for SL but it would require a lot of work.

Re: Jack, SL, and a Loaded Session
This seems to have been fixed indirectly through fixing something else. I can confirm it occurs in 1.6.18 but not in the development version which will be released as 1.7.0.

Re: Using Fastrack and Logic to loop
So you should try and start a Jack server and see if it is working. Try and get route sound from in->out directly. Then start SooperLooper and hook that up and see if you can record and play back a loop.

There is no way currently to delete a specific looper. Maybe in SL 1.8 or 2.0 there will be.

There are no separate output and input channels available in the AU version at this time unfortunately.

Re: SooperLooper crashing immediately after opening please h
From your crash report it seems that you are using version 1.6.14 which is not the latest version.
Could you re-install 1.6.18 please.
The "Choose file to open on remote host" is a known issue.

Re: select_loop_next (prev) keybinding doesn't work
but i don't know how to use oscdump, do i need to run some sort of server? could you please give me an hint? You just do oscdump 9951 while SL isn't running and run the oscsend command again. If oscdump receives it it will print it. But you are right, it is a long shot that something is going wrong...

Re: select_loop_next (prev) keybinding doesn't work
Those OSC commands should work. You do have several loop instances right? You could try and mv ~/.sooperlooper to ~/.sooperlooper.backup to reset all settings. Have you tried oscdump to make sure your commands are being sent? If non of that works could you grab the "fix_select_next" branch...

Re: Unpredictable connection behavior -- reliable solution?
Hey, sorry for the late reply. Hope your performance went well and you are getting on alright with SL. Til then, a simple question: I've looked around for a list of unix command line options for the current SL version and found nothing ... there must be one somewhere, but where? If you start SL from...

Re: select_loop_next (prev) keybinding doesn't work
I just gave it a quick test and was able to bind select_next_loop and select_prev_loop to 'n' and 'p' respectively. What is the keybinding exactly that you are trying to make and in what way is it not working?

It's a bug in the current version. A workaround is to start SL from the terminal:
Code: Select all

Re: Glitches when Ableton slaves tempo to SL
Hmm interesting. I don't have any solution for you immediately but it might be fairly trivial to increase the precision of the tempo SL sends and to include that in the next release.
