8ths/cycle setting still strange
Now if I save a live set with sooperplooper and I saved the 8ths/cycle setting at 8 when I close and reopen the set it will be back at 256 everytime. Does anyone else experience this or could someone try to see if they recreate it. It also seems like for a split sec its set at 16 when I click on the...

8th/cycle setting within Live set
It's not that big of deal but since I've been experiment with SL I noticed when I open my Live set I have saved with my sooperlooper setup the 8th/cycle is always 64 or some extremely high number. I'll lower it back down to 8 but when I reopen the set that value goes back to 64 or a really high numb...

Re: Controller Clip Method
Thanks for all your help so far. I am sequencing them or at all least that was what I was attempting to do today. I was using the foot controller but just to manually trigger the live clip (or scene) that contains midi notes to send to SL. I just tried it out by having my midi notes all happen on th...

Controller Clip Method
I understand now how to trigger commands in sooperlooper by triggering midi clips in Live that contain midi notes..... but nothing seems to trigger in sync. I would much rather use this method if I could get everything to trigger in sync since you can do multiple SL commands with a single foot press...

Re: Audio Dropouts
At first I was playing back on all three loops but then I tried audio on just one loop..... then I disabled the plug-ins on the inserts.....then I stopped the audio playing in sooperlooper. So nothing was happening (no sound) and if I watched the CPU meter about every 20-30 sec it would spike. I was...

Re: Audio Dropouts
I did more testing today with a Duet, an ultralite, and using the built-in inputs and output. I did get the cpu spikes at regular intervals using the duet drivers, the ultralite driver, and using the built in inputs and outputs with version 1.6.11 When the spikes happen its causes glitches in the au...

Re: Audio Dropouts
Hi Jesse, As an update to my cpu spike problem... I realize if I use built in Inputs and outputs and I have no spikes. I plugged my portable recorder straight into the mac from its headphone jack and put it into record mode so I could use it as an audio interface. Before I was borrowing a friends Du...

Re: Audio Dropouts
So I did a clean install. I had been meaning to do it for awhile anyway. Too much junk to sort through and all my data is on the external drive so it was easy just to wipe it. I did still have CPU spike on the Ableton cpu meter with 1.6.11 It will sit around 6 or 7% and then every 20 sec or so it wi...

Re: Audio Dropouts
Thank you Jesse,
I'm going to work on it again now. There's so many variables that could be involved who knows what could be the problem. I'll let you know what I find out.

Audio Dropouts
I installed the newest version of SL 1.6.11 and I started having regular audio dropouts/click. I troubleshooted for a long time and realized I could everything to work fine starting from scratch until I added an eq and/or reverb plug-in to the audio track in Ableton Live and that also contains the S...

Re: select next loop by midi problem
It's your footswitch sending a 'momentary' message. Momentary sends a message when you press the pedal and also when you release it. There should also be 'latch' mode for the buttons on your foot controller, where on and off values are alternated each time you press the pedal.

Re: Using Overdub, after Record
Ok here goes nothing. In Ableton: Tempo set 52 bpm, SL plug-in thrown on audio track, added midi track, set output to SL, set monitoring on 'in' for both channels Sooperlooper: Settings- sync to - Jack/Host 8ths/Cycle - 8 quantize - cycle mute quant, odub quant - unchecked auto 8ths - checked round,...

Re: Using Overdub, after Record
Thanks Jesse for the tip about bindings being with he selected loop. The answer was right in front of my face. About the overdub issue I'm going to recreate the experience, jot all my settings and a play by play of when I hit my footpedals and record the output of SL into another audio track in live...

Using Overdub, after Record
Let's say I have SL sync'ed up with my host in 4/4 @ 60bpm. I hit record, on the downbeat, and record 2 measures worth of sound then hit record again. So as of right now I have 2 measures of just one layer looping over and over. So now at this point I hit overdub at the beginning downbeat, of the 2 ...

Re: Anyone using Roland FC-300?
The easiest way for me is to make sure your foot controller is sending cc messages and then right click the function you want to assign in SL (Record,Overdub etc.) , click on midi learn in the contextual menu, and then press the pedal you would like to assign to that function.

Mac Mini 1.66ghz 2 gigs ram OSX 10.4.11 Ultralite 1. added a custom loop and increase the loop time to 180. (display read "mem 03:10.22) 2. Activity Monitor said I had 1.32 gigs ram still left 3. Rock solid performance 3. I checked to see my ram readout after a fresh reboot without opening any ...

Mutiple instances of SL
I tried using multiple instances of SL in live and SL freaked out and a message popped up saying it lost network connection and needed to be restarted. I normally set it up for one instance by tossing SL on an audio track and creating another audio and midi track. I send the audio input to the SL tr...

Adding custom loop
I was wondering if I have 2 gigs of ram installed what would be a safe amount for the maximum loop length. I read in the manual the default is 40 secs but if you set it too high your computer will crawl.

Anyone using Roland FC-300?
I've just started using this amazing program and I used to use my FC-300 just to trigger scene and effects in Live. If anyone else uses this midi foot controller I'd be curious to know how you set it up.
