Re: Building on mac error: undeclared identifier 'vector_del

No, sorry g++ was right. I thought XCode would use clang by default. Are you just using the makefile and doing `./configure` and `make`?

Re: solo and mute behaviour

Hmmm.. I'll check this out when I get a chance because I did mess with these states. Speaking of which: is it possible to have more thab 1 version installed, or can you run SL from the source directory, or something? Yeah, you can run it from the source directory when you build it. But when you star...

Re: Building on mac error: undeclared identifier 'vector_del

Hmm, possibly a GCC compatibility issue? Could you try with GCC? I know there is also some compatibility layer for LLVM/Clang. I am not sure how Jesse has been compiling for OSX in the past though.

Re: How to send OSC messages

Well, liblo is a developer library so they don't provide binaries, so you have to compile it.

There is probably some convenient app for OSX but I don't know it, sorry. On Linux you could get the liblo tools from your package manager.

Re: How to send OSC messages

There are _a lot_ of ways to send OSC. Maybe the tools available in liblo (oscsend) would fit the bill? Or maybe liblo's Python bindings? Or you could use Puredata or Supercollider or whatever. Have fun ! :D

tboston007 just meant it behaves a bit like a single loop but is actually 4 separate loops.

Re: Scripting?

What do you mean exactly? I have started working on a re-write (called SLim) where I want to allow of arbitary combinations of MIDI bindable commands (so I don't get feature request for all the possible combinations). Is this similar to what you are thinking or something else?

I have never tried the AU, but is it not under Session->Preferences->Connection as "Loop time" like in the stand-alone version?

Re: Midi bindings: CC On and Off reversed

Yes, it does seem reversed. I think it got by me because I generally bind CCs to CMDs using just CC and not On or Off. And only use CC On and Off for CTRLs that I want to toggle. So that is actually the work-around for now since plain old CC will work fine for CMDs. EDIT: It was a quick fix so it sh...

Re: Multiple Inputs and Outs for Single Loop Instance

I just realised that the sooperlooper back end does allow adding channels to loops ( I think the max is 256?). If you start the back-end seperately you can have 4 chans per loop.

Re: threshold doesn't work

Sooperlooper will try and start jackd. It cannot run without it.

So you can definitely see the audio on the monitor but it doesn't trigger? Is it possibly waiting for sync (blinking)?

You can save your session as an slsess and then attach it to your reply.

Only stereo and mono loops are supported currently unfortunately. You could do 8 mono loops?

Re: Build problem 1.7.0

Looks like your local compile of wx isn't compatible, or maybe you need to add more than just the --wx-config-path flag to compile against it properly?

Does this happen consistently all the time with every loop? Could you link your .slsess? What version of SL are you using?

Re: loop loading problem

Sorry for the late reply, this is a bug in 1.6.18, if you can update to the newest version then do that. Updated Debian packages should go into unstable fairly soon.

A workaround for 1.6.18 is to start slgui from terminal like this:

Code: Select all

slgui -H `hostname`

Re: eight_per_cycle & register_update state

As far as I remember there is something odd about the way SL tracks these states and decides whether it has notified whomever wants to know. It's pretty much a bug. Auto updates are a much safer bet.
