eee pc 901 and terratec

Hi all there. I'm travelling around the world, playing the didgeridoo and i was thinking about recovering my notebook (right now is back in spain) and setting it up properly to play live, using just a live looper (like sooper looper) and some ladspa plugins (maybe just a delay). My question is, will it be my eee pc 901 good enough for it? I expect to be using 5-8 different loops at a time, plus the laspa delay effect. The hardware is an Intel Atom Diamondville CPU clocked at 1.6 GHz, and 2Gb Ram. I also have a Terratec Phase 26 USB sound card, but it was not working properly with latest versions of ubuntu, and it didn't seem to make much difference with the integrated sound card in my netbook, at least relating to ardour. U think the integrated sound card will be enough? Would the terratec phase 26 make a difference?

And, to finish, in case u know a cheap usb sound card to work properly with ubuntu and sooper looper for what i want to do, that would be awesome (something light, when travelling with a backpack weight is a must).

tx

I know some others use eee pcs to run SL without issues. As for total loop count, etc I can't say, but I'm guessing not an issue. Internal audio vs terratec, can't say either, there are probably some tradeoffs for picking either. Hopefully some folks with that hardware will pipe up here.

tx, i'm asking mainly because i'll be only one week back in spain and would be good to have some background in advance. I guess will be a question of trying.

tx again, see if someone with a phase 26 usb is around :).

How did this go? I'm just setting up ubuntustudio on an Asus Eee 1000 that has been lying around with SSD and additional RAM just to play with and see how it goes under similar circumstances you describe (curiously also with a didje, but looping between didje and acoustic guitar) so would be interested in any progress, feedback or experience you may share
