Re: No individual panorama
Hmm, I see your point, even with mono loops in SL, the direct outputs are stereo when using the AU. When you use JACK they match the loop 1-1 so it isn't an issue... I forgot that the AU forced me to change that. In that case, I will make the panners do something for the AU direct outputs.

Re: No individual panorama
That's right, the panning controls are only to pan to the main outputs. It is assumed that if you are using the individual outs that you'll do panning wherever you are sending them (another DAW track, etc)...

Re: rec_or_overdub that goes to overdub with second press
Just looked it up, and it looks like the record_overdub_end_solo command does that, but unfortunately it also solos that loop. I guess I just need to add a record_overdub_end!

Re: Simultaneous Midi Commands
I assume if you send each loop record command separately, each of them works fine? This is strange one, as I don't see anything that would prevent events from getting through, regardless of how close together they are. As a workaround if you really want a binding to target all loops at once, you can...

Re: Feature Request: trigger_solo
You're right, it needs a 'solo_on' command to ensure the behavior you want, (or a 'trigger_solo' , or I need to make trigger not change the solo state.

Re: Select Next/Prev Loop - Note On/Off Issue
Yes, I agree that CCs should behave like note on/off too, I will look into that.
So MainStage passes CCs but not notes? WTF Apple?

Re: Feature Request: trigger_solo
You can bind multiple commands to the same midi binding, just add a new binding using the same midi info. So you should be able to bind your PLAY button to both solo and trigger that way and get the results you want. Seems to work over here! Your "master loop" idea with a mute/solo overrid...

Re: Rel sync doesn't work
You are right, I think I should change it so you have a little leeway if finishing a quantized record a little late.

Re: Loop Record Time Available Only 47.55 ?
Leave the port numbers alone, the difference you saw is because the default when using with JACK and the AudioUnit are different. Yes, delete last loop was what I meant in my first post about "removing the existing loop". Not sure why the default loop time is being ignored for you... at le...

Re: Loop Record Time Available Only 47.55 ?
After you change the settings in the prefs, you need to remove the existing loop and create a new one, and it should come up with the new default loop memory. You can also add a custom loop with a specified loop mem at any time.

Re: OS X Yosemite
Yikes, you really shouldn't have to do that.... I'd like to make sure this thing works properly without special care... but at least you have a workaround in the meantime!
Not sure why the pitch shifting/timestretch isn't working over there... will see if I can reproduce that too.

Re: Select Next/Prev Loop - Note On/Off Issue
The "Note" option is designed to only pay attention to Note On, unless you do a long press (holding down the note for more than 1 sec or so), in which case the note off triggers the command's long press behavior (usually triggering the command again, so you can press-hold-release to do rec...

Re: OS X Yosemite
That is very illuminating. The fact that your sooperlooper comes up with Jans-Apfelbuch as the hostname instead of localhost is the issue, because the GUI is attempting to convert it to localhost. When you run 'hostname' on the terminal what does it say? Also run 'ifconfig' and put the results here....

Re: OS X Yosemite
Hmm, I don't think it's worth reinstalling your whole OS! There is some advanced troubleshooting we can do that isn't too hard, using the Terminal (command line). 1. Start two Terminal windows. 2. Start Jack as you normally would. 3. Assuming your SooperLooper.app is installed in /Applications: In t...

Re: Midi-Bindings - Long Press/Softstep
[as replied in email] Aha! Turns out when a new loop is added (or you start up a new session) the mute/odub/repl quant settings aren't applied to the new loops! If you manually toggle them off then on again after everything is set up then they work appropriately. Phew! I'll fix that issue in the nex...

I don't recall making any changes that would have kept relsync from working, so it likely is something else going on...

Re: Midi-Bindings - Long Press/Softstep
Ah, sorry about not mentioning keeping 'rel sync' off. My mute/solo/pause quantizing is working fine here, as long as you have quantize:cycle, mute quant on, and sync checked on each loop. Something strange is going on over there. Regarding the screenshots, email them directly to me: jesse at sonosa...

Re: Midi-Bindings - Long Press/Softstep
1) If you instead made separate midi bindings to Record and Overdub, you can get what you want by starting the loop with Record, and ending it with Overdub which defines the loop length and goes right into Overdub like you want. You then later have the option of overdubbing independently, or recordi...

Re: Midi-Bindings - Long Press/Softstep
Yes, in SL's MIDI binding page make sure your bindings are set as Note, and *not* NoteOn or NoteOff... that way it will interpret the press/release properly.
