Re: Mainstage/SL problems

I was having the same problem with the 'third party drivers' message. To stop this from happening, I would have to start up MS with my midi controllers off and then turn them on after MS had been on for a minute. Soon after, the problem stopped happening. I found the 'solution' on the discussion.app...

Re: FCB1010 programming w/ Sooper Looper

http://www.ossandust.be/ - that's the mod. http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/fcb1010/files/ You'll need to register there. Yes, the pedal should be able to command it out of the box, but that's not how I did it. Programming that thing is a bit painful. You should get the chip and the software...it'...

Re: FCB1010 programming w/ Sooper Looper

I found the yahoo fcb1010 forum to be a good place to start if you're totally lost.

Are you unable to get your pedal to send program change messages? I don't really know what you need to do - I just turn mine on and it's ready to go. I got an uno mod chip so I can program it with the computer.

Re: Using PROXI to remap, with great success.

I was trying to do an apple script mapped to a midi control - but it wasn't working out. It said 'tell application 'sooperlooper' activate' - pretty simple. Seems like you have a good solution for a qwerty though. Are you not able to find the next loop/previous loop - or you just don't have enough k...

Re: Using PROXI to remap, with great success.

"I also have two specialty buttons that allow me to switch (hands free) between Sooper Looper and Main Stage." How did you do this? I have an apple script to bring SL to the front, but haven't gotten it to work in SL. I think I need to reinstall MS - none of the prepackaged scripts work. I have a su...

Trying to figure out if I need to come up with something for the meantime.

Thanks!

Sending midi start messages

Ran into a problem at practice today. I need to have my loops in sooperlooper be a certain length so that a max patch that someone else is using plays audio files back at the proper pitch. I set up a loop in SL that I load into Loop1 and then sync to that. I then start looping in the other slots. Wo...

Re: Multiple tracks

I believe I show assigning a midi controller to activate 'select_next_loop', 'select_previous_loop' in the video - those are the commands you'll be looking for though. You can send effected signals to SL it in mainstage - whatever effects are on your instrument track will end up in SL. If you want t...

Glad you like it. Sweet music.

I have a new video up using the iphone on vimeo, but that's it. I'll probably get something else up this weekend if something nice comes out. Glad you found the video handy.

Applescript Dictionary

It would be very useful to be able to automate loading of session files using standard Applescript Verbs instead of scripting with the GUI. I'm trying to get SL to load a session file and it's a real pain. Alternatively, it would also be easier to do this in applescript (I think), if SL would load a...

Behavior when opening a session

I'd like there to be an option not to fire all the loops when a session is opened up. I'd like to be able to trigger them as I please. Also, if loop didn't have anything in it, it records when opening the session. What's up with that?!

Re: Automatic loop dump during performance

I'll give that a try - I thought it was doing nothing when no loops were selected and save was pressed. I'll mull it over - one folder could work if I could set up a process to 'sweep' files into max/msp and delete them afterwards.

My IPhone / Processing / SooperLooper setup

My goal was just to create a display with the iphone: http://www.samgreene.com/drupal_samgreene/node/100 Code is on my page. Some more improvements will be coming, but I think the basic functions are working ok. I was having some problems that I think were due to not unregistering events. This is to...

Re: mrmr and sooperlooper

I would like to be able to display SL Loop position on an iphone. Does SL transmit loop position data? I have TouchOSC and OSCulator. It's working with Mainstage - which is cool.

Re: Loop1 is louder than the rest

It happens while using the same input though - that's the puzzling part. I change nothing in mainstage - I just change SL to record on another track. Nothing is really changing in MainStage that I'm aware of. Know what I mean?

Loop1 is louder than the rest

When I record the same thing on loop1 and loop2, loop1 is overpowering the other. Looking at the resulting wav files, loop1 records at a higher level. Why is this?

Re: Setup feasibility/advice

I can't find the midi control to fade a single loop out(I'd like to know how to do it btw). You can fade the whole mix out - but the plugin isn't multi output. That seems to put rule out your click, unless you pan it to one side and don't route that side to the audience. Are you thinking of using so...

Automatic loop dump during performance

So I've been saving my session during a session and using those loops in other programs to manipulate. It would be handy to be able to dump all of your loops with a midi command. I see 'save' is mappable, but I tried and it doesn't seem to do anything when 'all' is selected. Perhaps a default dump d...
